Chiropractic Care

Diagnostic and manual treatment for spinal and musculoskeletal conditions.

Chiropractic care at HCMG is delivered by Doctors of Chiropractic registered with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. Our chiropractors assess and treat spinal and musculoskeletal complaints using diagnostic examination, manual therapy, and rehabilitative exercise prescription, integrated with the broader multidisciplinary team.

Chiropractic is positioned within our clinic as a complementary discipline to physiotherapy, with overlapping but distinct scopes — particularly in spinal manipulative therapy and biomechanical assessment.

What Chiropractic Treats

  • •Mechanical neck pain and cervical spine dysfunction
  • •Mid-back and lumbar spine conditions
  • •Sciatica and radiculopathy
  • •Headache, including cervicogenic and tension-type
  • •Joint dysfunction in the extremities
  • •Whiplash-associated disorder
  • •Postural and biomechanical pain syndromes

Our Clinical Approach

A chiropractic assessment at HCMG includes a structured history, postural and biomechanical examination, neurological screening, orthopaedic testing, and review of any available diagnostic imaging.

  • •Spinal manipulative therapy — high-velocity, low-amplitude adjustment of restricted spinal segments
  • •Spinal and peripheral mobilization — lower-velocity manual techniques
  • •Soft-tissue therapy — including myofascial release and instrument-assisted techniques
  • •Therapeutic exercise — corrective and rehabilitative exercise prescription
  • •Postural and ergonomic education — workplace and daily activity guidance

Chiropractic in Motor Vehicle Accident Recovery

Spinal injury is one of the most common consequences of a motor vehicle accident. Our chiropractors are experienced in assessing and treating whiplash-associated disorder, post-traumatic headache, and lumbosacral injury arising from collision mechanisms.

For SABS-funded patients, our chiropractors complete OCF documentation and progress reporting requirements. Chiropractic notes at HCMG are prepared to medico-legal documentation standards.
